How to book separate air tickets for minor kids accompanying their parents/grandparents, on return journey

Suppose you want to send your kids with their grand parents who are visiting and they have their return tickets already booked. Airlines won't allow to book tickets for kids (less than 12 years) alone or without 'unaccompanied minor' option. Unfortunately you cannot do it online, so you need to call the Airline call center and book directly with them. Before calling them make sure that you have the following details ready:
1. PNR number of the round trip ticket. (This is the one which the airline will tag the new ticket along with)
2. Flight number, date and time of the flight that you need to link the new ticket with.

Airline will create a new ticket and block for 24 hours for payment. There is option to pay via credit card over phone. But do remember that if you have the OTP enabled for credit card, make sure that you make the call from a different phone than the one tied to your credit card. Added advantage of paying over phone is that there is no convenience charge (300 per ticket for CC) involved.
